The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy throws a hook to the side of Joe's head but Joe sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Joe tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Joe takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Boy has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Joe looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Boy connects with a crisp jab.

Boy throws a nice looking combination but Joe bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boy throws a lazy right hand but Joe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Boy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joe on the ground.

Boy controls Joe momentarily but Joe frees himself.

Let's hope that Joe has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
