The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marley displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Smash Machine throws out the jab.

Marley wants to get back to striking at distance but Smash Machine won't allow it.

Smash Machine tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

It looks like Rakeem Marley has been cut.
Marley is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Smash Machine is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Marley pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Marley on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Marley's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Marley is looking to break free of the clinch but Smash Machine has double underhooks.
Marley is still on wobbly legs! Can Smash Machine finish him?
Smash Machine pushes Marley back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Marley misses with a short punch on the inside.

Smash Machine decides to pull guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marley stands and steps away. Smash Machine gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Marley walks straight into a right hand from Smash Machine - that's dropped him! Smash Machine jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Marley from any more punishment! Marley complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
