Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexev Savinov (ranked 2755 p4p, 5575 weight class) and Buster Norberg (ranked 302 p4p, 491 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alexev Savinov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Buster Norberg!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Norberg checks a leg kick.
Savinov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Norberg moves away.
Norberg loads up on a big right hand but Savinov slips the punch.
Savinov misses with a low kick.
Savinov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Savinov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Norberg.

Norberg closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Savinov did well to prevent Norberg getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Norberg is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Savinov is just riding it out for now. Norberg eventually gives up the hold.
Savinov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Savinov.

Savinov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Norberg on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Norberg seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Norberg passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Norberg is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Savinov has escaped the position, nice work there.

Norberg tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Norberg has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Savinov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Norberg wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Buster Norberg dominated that round.
That's time! Savinov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Norberg goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Savinov is on top in guard.

Norberg has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Savinov should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Norberg has tightened it up now! Savinov should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
