The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bermalingo just misses with a punch to the body.
Murphy gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bermalingo.
A decent looking cross lands there for Murphy.

Murphy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bermalingo's half guard.

Murphy is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bermalingo tries to kick Murphy off but Murphy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Murphy is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bermalingo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Murphy.
Murphy is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Bermalingo reverses the position - he's now on top in Murphy's guard.

Murphy closes the distance and clinches up with Bermalingo, looking for a takedown. Murphy pushes Bermalingo against the cage but Bermalingo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bermalingo was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Bermalingo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Murphy.
