Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kill Shot Jackson (ranked 3210 p4p, 2636 weight class) and Gaius Marius (ranked 436 p4p, 377 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Kill Shot Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Gaius Marius! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson scores with a takedown into Marius's guard. Jackson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Marius is keeping the position for now. Jackson wants to control from the top but Marius keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson being controlled here momentarily. Jackson wants to pass the guard but Marius is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marius keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marius looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jackson is one step ahead there. Jackson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Jackson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Marius does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jackson prevents Marius from improving his position. Marius trying to get back to full guard but Jackson takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Jackson looking to control but Marius is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Marius wants to control but Jackson is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson looking to ground and pound but Marius is blocking nicely. Jackson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Marius really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Marius wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Jackson.

Marius is desperately trying to improve his position but Jackson has a good base and remains in mount. Jackson trying to control but Marius is having none of it. Jackson fails to move to back control. Jackson wants to finish this one by submission but Marius is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jackson. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Marius is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Kill Shot Jackson dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Jackson tries to clinch but Marius moves out of range. Marius throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Jackson staying out of range there. Kill Shot Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jackson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Marius, pushing him back against the cage. Jackson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Marius has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Marius's coach down at Steel Penn Training Den was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Marius's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Marius pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jackson is looking to clinch but Marius is avoiding it.
Marius throws a hook but Jackson avoids it easily. Jackson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson is trying to control. Marius wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Jackson won't allow Marius to sweep him here. Jackson looking to pass the guard. Jackson trying to control the position from guard on top but Marius is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marius has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Marius is continuing to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Jackson wants to control from the top but Marius keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Jackson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Jackson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Marius! Jackson wants to take Marius's back here but Marius is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson fails to take his opponent's back. Marius tries to reverse the position but Jackson maintains control. Jackson looking to control but Marius is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Jackson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Jackson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Jackson mounts Marius! Really nice guard pass there! Jackson wants to take his opponent's back but Marius doesn't allow it.

Jackson wants to take his opponent's back but instead Marius manages to regain half guard. Marius is staying active underneath Jackson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Jackson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Marius wants to control but Jackson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Marius works his way to full guard. Good work. Jackson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kill Shot Jackson dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Jackson moves into the clinch. Jackson crunches a lovely knee into Marius's ribcage. Jackson tries to land knees in the clinch but Marius avoids the damage to the body. Jackson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Marius can't fight it off and eventually Jackson manages to take the fight to the floor. Marius looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jackson trying to control but Marius is working from the bottom. Marius takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marius has his hands on Jackson's head, controlling the position. Jackson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Marius can do to turn this around? Jackson wants to control from the top but Marius keeps moving.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Marius misses with a looping left. Jackson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Marius is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Jackson is really struggling to control Marius but he's trying to hold on to the position. Jackson wants to free his trapped foot but Marius is holding on for dear life with his legs. Jackson wants to take a breather but Marius is having none of it. Marius won't allow Jackson to pass to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Jackson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Kill Shot Jackson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jackson wants to pass to mount but Marius is defending the position. Jackson slows the pace down in half guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Gaius Marius has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

And that's the end of the fight! Kill Shot Jackson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
