Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Shalashaska (ranked 481 p4p, 586 weight class) and Ed Green (ranked 28 p4p, 34 weight class). Adam Shalashaska has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Shalashaska!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ed Green!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shalashaska throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Green misses with a leg kick.
Green throws a big shot that misses.

Shalashaska closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Green to the mat! Green manages to get full guard.
Green looking to control.
Green can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Shalashaska controls the pace.

Green is looking for a triangle but Shalashaska pushes his legs off easily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Shalashaska goes for an armbar but Green turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Green.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Green stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shalashaska swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Green is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Shalashaska bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Green's guard.

Green is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Shalashaska is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Green is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Green manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shalashaska manages to get himself to full guard.


Shalashaska had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Green defends it easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Shalashaska feints and then cracks Green's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Green down.

Green is looking for a triangle but Shalashaska pushes his legs off easily.

Shalashaska is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Green has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Green!

Shalashaska is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Green is aware though and is defending well.

Green stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shalashaska swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Shalashaska is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Green can do to turn this around?

Shalashaska has his foot on Green's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Green works his way back into a safe position though.

Green stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Green wants it to stay on the feet.

Shalashaska closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Shalashaska is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Green gets his way!

You can see the frustration on Green's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Shalashaska's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Adam Shalashaska.
Well Shalashaska has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
