PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Hall (ranked 963 p4p, 793 weight class) and Aiko San (ranked 55 p4p, 45 weight class). Hall comes to the cage accompanied by Andy Shauf: The Magician. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Robbie Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Aiko San!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
San misses with a body shot.
San is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hall.
San looks to land a right hand but Hall moved out of range.
Hall appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
San listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
San jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

It looks like Robbie Hall has been cut.

San throws a lazy right hand but Hall sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
San has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hall is landing a low percentage of strikes.

San throws a hook but Hall avoids it easily.
Hall wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

and Hall decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in San's guard.
San is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Hall drops back, looking for a kneebar! San looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. San looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from San!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
San throws a body shot but no joy.
As San tries to get set, Hall tries to push him back and clinch up but San manages to avoid the attempt.
San lands a jab.
San uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hall has time to react.
San connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Hall's hands.

Hall is rocked!

San lands a big uppercut and Hall crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hall looks OK. San waves Hall back to his feet!
Oh Hall is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

As San tries to get set, Hall tries to push him back and clinch up but San manages to avoid the attempt.
Crack! San connects with the perfect overhand right and Hall falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for San!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Aiko San!
