Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Schotel.
Schotel has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Doom's Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Polus falls off balance throwing a combination
and Schotel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Polus slips under a jab.

Schotel decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Polus is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Schotel pulls his head out easily.

Schotel has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Polus is in all sorts of trouble here.

Schotel tries to pass to full mount but Polus defends it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Polus won't allow Schotel to pass to mount.

Schotel drops an elbow to the side of Polus's head.

Schotel is nestled in close to Polus, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Schotel is pressing down on Polus's thigh, looking to free his foot. Polus is holding on for now.
Polus tries to roll over but Schotel keeps him under control.
Schotel slips a nice elbow through Polus's hands, connecting with Polus's forehead.
Schotel has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Schotel connects with a nice short shot to Polus's temple.
Schotel working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Schotel tries to pass the half guard into mount. Polus knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Schotel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Polus swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Polus has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Schotel doesn't defend quickly enough and Polus has managed to lock this one up! Can Schotel escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Polus on a fantastic submission victory.
