Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hendrix Cabrera (ranked 801 p4p, 1482 weight class) and Iner Raledran (ranked 108 p4p, 205 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hendrix Cabrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 2, fighting out of New York, Iner Raledran!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Raledran fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Cabrera to the ground. Raledran is now in Cabrera's guard.
Cabrera bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Raledran's guard.

Cabrera trying to control but Raledran is working from the bottom.
Cabrera is pushing down on Raledran's leg trying to pass to half guard. Raledran is fighting to maintain full guard but Cabrera has managed to sneak the leg through.
Cabrera has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Raledran is looking to improve his position but Cabrera isn't that keen on the idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cabrera is looking for the choke from the back position but Raledran is controlling his hands well.

Cabrera is persistently looking for the submission but Raledran is defending it well.
Raledran wants to escape the position.

Raledran breaks Cabrera's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Cabrera is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Raledran defends well.

Raledran drops back, looking for a kneebar! Cabrera looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Cabrera looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Cabrera!


Cabrera tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Cabrera has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Raledran!
Raledran is trying to escape the mount.
Cabrera looking to control but Raledran is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Raledran felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Raledran is working to get back to half guard.
Cabrera controlling his opponent.
Raledran can't escape the position.
Raledran regains half guard.
Cabrera prevents Raledran from improving his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Raledran has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Cabrera escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Cabrera!

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Cabrera lands with a kick to the temple. Raledran shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Raledran uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cabrera.

Cabrera throws a shot from downtown. Raledran moves away and avoids it.
Cabrera will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Hendrix Cabrera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cabrera misses with a low kick.
Cabrera slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Cabrera dodges the punch combination from Raledran.
Cabrera was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Raledran shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cabrera defends it nicely.

Cabrera misses with a hook. Raledran ducked under it nicely.
Raledran drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Cabrera defends it well.
Crunch! Raledran slams his shin into Cabrera's torso.
Hendrix Cabrera is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Decent striking displayed by Cabrera there.
Cabrera takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Cabrera lands a body shot.
Raledran fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cabrera manages to avoid it.
Cabrera throws a looping overhand right but Raledran ducks down to avoid it.
Raledran is looking to score with low kicks.
Raledran tries to clinch but Cabrera moves out of range.
Raledran lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cabrera is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Raledran can do to turn this around?
Raledran walks into a stiff left hand from Cabrera.
A bone on bone clash there as Cabrera blocks the leg kick.

and Raledran holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cabrera is looking to break free of the clinch but Raledran has double underhooks.
Raledran lands a hook that snaps the head of Cabrera backwards.
Cabrera is trying to break the clinch but Raledran has him pressed against the cage.

Raledran has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Cabrera after a bit of a struggle.
Raledran lands a right hand.
Cabrera blocks an uppercut.

Cabrera connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Raledran's hands.
Cabrera throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Raledran closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cabrera's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Raledran has gone for a leg lock! Cabrera slips out almost immediately though and dives into Raledran's guard.


Raledran working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cabrera doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cabrera manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Raledran has his foot on Cabrera's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cabrera works his way back into a safe position though.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hendrix Cabrera will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Cabrera throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Raledran on the side of the head.

Cabrera escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cabrera takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Cabrera looks to land a combination but Raledran avoids it well.

A little feinted left hand from Cabrera on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Raledran clinches up with Cabrera and pushes him back against the cage.

Cabrera looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Cabrera tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Raledran has a couple of punches blocked by Cabrera.

Cabrera breaks the clinch.
Cabrera takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

A solid leg kick lands there for Cabrera.

Cabrera seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Raledran goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cabrera has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Raledran but great work by Cabrera.

I would just about give that final round to Iner Raledran.
I think Cabrera has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
