Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Cross (ranked 3345 p4p, 1358 weight class) and Saul Hunter (ranked 362 p4p, 161 weight class). Cross comes to the cage accompanied by Irregular God. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Konstantin Menshow and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cross.
Cross shoots for a double leg takedown but Hunter sprawls well. He's pushed Cross's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cross gets a takedown into half guard.
Hunter works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hunter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Hunter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cross can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cross tries to free his leg and advance position but Hunter is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
