Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Geordi La Forge (ranked 3934 p4p, 4705 weight class) and Gatimu Wanjiku (ranked 424 p4p, 454 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Geordi La Forge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gatimu Wanjiku! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! La Forge shoots in looking for a takedown. Wanjiku tries to sprawl out of it but La Forge keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wanjiku manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. La Forge keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
La Forge half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. La Forge shoots in looking for a takedown but Wanjiku manages to keep the fight standing, pushing La Forge's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wanjiku throws an uppercut from half a mile away. La Forge sees it coming and avoids it easily. Wanjiku throws the left hand but La Forge avoids the punch easily. Geordi La Forge seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. La Forge fails with the takedown letting Wanjiku counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Geordi La Forge. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wanjiku throws out a loose jab but La Forge uses good head movement to avoid it. La Forge misses with a takedown and Wanjiku counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. La Forge doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wanjiku counters with a stiff right hand. Wanjiku throws out a powerful jab. Wanjiku lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
La Forge is rocked! Wanjiku has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. No luck for La Forge with that takedown attempt. Oh La Forge is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round. Wanjiku paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. A decent looking cross lands there for Wanjiku. La Forge takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Wanjiku thows a left - swing and a miss! Wanjiku works La Forge's body with a nice hook. Wanjiku throws an overhand right that drops La Forge like a sack of potatoes! Wanjiku dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gatimu Wanjiku!
