Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adan Puno (ranked 38 p4p, 115 weight class) and Clarence Hoost (ranked 7 p4p, 22 weight class). Clarence Hoost told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shirou Masuda and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoost lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hoost connects with a crisp jab.

It looks like Adan Puno has been cut.
Hoost misses with a body kick.
Puno misses with a kick to the body
and Hoost counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Hoost scores with a leg kick.
Puno moves out of range as Hoost throws a body kick.
The fighters circling - Hoost throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
It looked like Puno wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hoost pushes Puno away with a front kick.
A jab from Hoost misses.
Puno throws a combination that misses
and Hoost cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Hoost misses with a series of wild punches.
Puno slips a straight right by Hoost.
Puno seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Hoost shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Puno is backing up but Hoost catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Puno covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Hoost Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
