Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clinch King Smash Machine (ranked 665 p4p, 853 weight class) and Tino Takala (ranked 100 p4p, 125 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Clinch King Smash Machine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Tino Takala!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takala misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Smash Machine half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Smash Machine misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Takala to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Clinch King Smash Machine has been cut.
Takala scores with a shot to the body.
Takala scores with a jab. Smash Machine acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Takala avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Takala fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smash Machine tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Takala paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A looping hook to the body misses from Smash Machine. Takala does a little dance to reset his feet.
Smash Machine throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Takala lands with a kick to the temple. Smash Machine shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Smash Machine is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Smash Machine is looking for a triangle but Takala pushes his legs off easily.

Smash Machine has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smash Machine tries to lock up and control but Takala gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Smash Machine is desperately trying to improve his position but Takala has a good base and remains in mount.

Smash Machine has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Takala is working away from the top position though.
Takala seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Smash Machine keeping hold of Takala's head, controlling as best he can.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Smash Machine rushes Takala and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Takala takes a knee right on the jaw!
Smash Machine using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Takala has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Smash Machine is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Takala gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Smash Machine keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Takala's efforts to push away.

It looks like Tino Takala has been cut.
Takala has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Smash Machine shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Takala sprawls well. Takala wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smash Machine gets slowly back to his feet.

Takala gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Smash Machine stalling away here and it's allowed Takala to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Takala feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Smash Machines jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Takala keeps the fight on the outside.

Takala dips to his left and cracks Smash Machine with an uppercut!
Smash Machine checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Smash Machine tries to counter with a takedown but Takala is quick to defend against it.
Smash Machine is looking to clinch but Takala is avoiding it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Smash Machine looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Takala scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Smash Machine doesn't seem bothered though.

Smash Machine cracks Takala with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Smash Machine sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Takala's guard.
Takala wants to get back to his feet.
Smash Machine is pressing down on Takala's thigh, looking to free his foot. Takala is holding on for now.
Smash Machine is taking a breather. Takala says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Smash Machine is looking to advance position but Takala won't allow it.

Smash Machine is trying to work for a kimura but Takala is defending well.
Smash Machine is stalling here. Takala is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Smash Machine seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Takala has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

I would just about give that final round to Tino Takala.
I think Takala has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
