Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Corassa (ranked 66 p4p, 46 weight class) and Johnny Albatross (ranked 12 p4p, 2 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 40 - 15 - 2, fighting out of New York, Eduardo Corassa! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Albatross! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corassa swings for the body but Albatross moves out of range.
Albatross moves out of range of the body kick. Corassa moves out of range of the body kick. It looked like Corassa was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Albatross. Corassa throws a leg kick but Albatross moved away. Albatross appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Corassa blocks a low kick nicely. Corassa throws a body shot but no joy. Albatross looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice uppercut lands for Albatross. That snapped Corassa's head back.

The fighters circling - Corassa throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Corassa avoids a kick to the body.

Corassa on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. An inside leg kick lands from Albatross. Albatross throws out a powerful jab. Albatross lands a head shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Albatross walks into a straight right hand from Corassa. Corassa avoids the head kick by Albatross.
Corassa is looking for a counter combo. Albatross thows a left - swing and a miss! Albatross scores with a sloppy right hand. Corassa should have avoided that one. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Albatross throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Corassa takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Albatross looks to throw the jab but Corassa is out of range. A little feinted left hand from Corassa on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corassa is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Albatross throws a leg kick and Corassa counters with a straight right hand. Corassa throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Albatross fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Corassa. Albatross lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Corassa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Albatross. Corassa tried to counter with a leg kick but Albatross avoided it. Albatross swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Corassa misses with a left hand and Albatross counters with a nice leg kick. A solid leg kick lands there for Albatross.
Albatross connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Albatross throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Corassa swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Corassa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Corassa is looking to slow Albatross down with leg kicks. Albatross dips down and scores with a jab to the body. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Albatross dominated that round. The cut man is working on Eduardo Corassa's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Albatross throws a leg kick and Corassa counters with a solid body kick. A decent looking cross lands there for Albatross. Corassa digs a good body shot into Albatross's ribs. Albatross fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Corassa checks it well. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Corassa - that will leave a mark!

Corassa has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

and Albatross counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Corassa throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

and Albatross counters with a nice uppercut. Albatross slips a straight right by Corassa. Albatross is looking for the big counter here. Corassa misses with a low kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corassa looks to throw the jab but Albatross is out of range. Albatross throws a big shot that misses. Corassa bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Corassa blocks a jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Albatross throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Albatross connects with a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Albatross looks to land a right hand but Corassa moved out of range. Albatross connects with a superb combination that knocks Corassa out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Albatross before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Corassa!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Johnny Albatross! Johnny Albatross is the new bantamweight champion! After winning the bout, Johnny Albatross thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
