Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mohammed Kahn (ranked 6 p4p, 45 weight class) and Roberto Fabinho (ranked 2 p4p, 5 weight class). Kahn comes to the cage accompanied by كارتل مدان. Fabinho is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Glowed Up - Kaytranada. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 36 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mohammed Kahn! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roberto Fabinho! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Fabinho fails miserably with a takedown attempt. A counter left hand to the body from Kahn misses its target. Fabinho tests Kahn's chin there with a solid looking shot. Kahn looks to score with a jab to the body but Fabinho is just out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fabinho doesn't manage to clinch there - Kahn circles away.
We've been informed that Fabinho has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Fabinho shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kahn pinned against the cage. Kahn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kahn appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kahn slips under a jab from Fabinho. Fabinho shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kahn but Kahn pushes him off and we're back to square one. Kahn tried to counter with a leg kick but Fabinho avoided it. Mohammed Kahn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roberto Fabinho. A jab from Fabinho misses. Kahn throws a quick counter kick to the body but Fabinho avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fabinho lands with a nice body punch. Kahn is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Fabinho shoots in and drives through. Kahn sprawls well. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Fabinho fails with the takedown. Kahn uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fabinho. Fabinho lands with a cross.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A punch lands to the side of Kahn 's head but he takes it in his stride. Fabinho is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kahn sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kahn seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Kahn ducks under a wild hook from Fabinho. Kahn takes one to the side of the head.
Fabinho lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Fabinho keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fabinho shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A quick step to the side and Kahn tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Mohammed Kahn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kahn looks to land a left hand but Fabinho moved out of range nicely. Fabinho doesn't manage to clinch there - Kahn circles away.
It looked like Kahn was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Fabinho. Kahn blocks a head kick by Fabinho.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fabinho jabs Kahn right on the nose. Kahn blinks but takes it well. Fabinho shoots in looking for a takedown but Kahn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fabinho's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kahn throwing a counter right hand but Fabinho manages to avoid it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Roberto Fabinho dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Fabinho misses with a right hand and Kahn counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Fabinho fails in his attempt to clinch. Fabinho feints and as Kahn raises his hands in defense, Fabinho changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fabinho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kahn swivels though and keeps the full guard. Fabinho trying to control the position from guard on top but Kahn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fabinho is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Fabinho tries to free his leg and advance position but Kahn is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fabinho is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Kahn is pulling down on Fabinho's head. It's preventing any offense from Fabinho, at least for the moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kahn throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Fabinho shoots in but Kahn avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kahn tried to counter with a leg kick but Fabinho avoided it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fabinho connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kahn. Kahn circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Fabinho tries to clinch up. Fabinho shoots in and drives through. Kahn sprawls well. Fabinho closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kahn did well to prevent Fabinho getting side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fabinho wants to pass to mount but Kahn is defending the position. Kahn is trying is best to control the position here. Fabinho misses with a head shot. Kahn uses the momentum to regain guard. Kahn controlling Fabinho's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fabinho trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fabinho trying to control but Kahn is working from the bottom. Fabinho loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Fabinho is stalling in the full guard. Kahn has Fabinho pulled in close to control his posture.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fabinho throws a big shot that misses. Kahn looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Fabinho cracks Kahn with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Roberto Fabinho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Fabinho shoots in looking for a takedown. Kahn tries to sprawl out of it but Fabinho keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kahn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kahn fires out a quick counter leg kick but Fabinho just manages to avoid it. Fabinho shoots in and bounces Kahn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

He's persisting with it as Kahn sprawls well. Kahn wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fabinho gets slowly back to his feet. A slow jab from Fabinho misses its intended target. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fabinho. Mohammed Kahn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roberto Fabinho. Fabinho fails with a takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fabinho shoots in and drives through. Kahn sprawls well. As Fabinho looks to move away, Kahn throws a big counter combo but Fabinho just gets out of the way. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Fabinho darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Mohammed Kahn has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fabinho wants to work for an arm triangle but Kahn is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kahn is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Fabinho trying to pass the guard but Kahn defending well. Fabinho has been the more effective fighter overall so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fabinho is stalling here. Fabinho is trying to reverse the position but instead Kahn has taken his back - oops! Fabinho tries to roll but Kahn sticks to his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fabinho tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Fabinho tries to control the position but Kahn now has his back.
Fabinho has hold of Kahn's leg, trying to break free but it's let Kahn lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Fabinho is turning an unusual color here he's out! Kahn throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 4, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Mohammed Kahn! Mohammed Kahn retains his light heavyweight title! Mohammed Kahn thanked the fans post fight for their support. In defeat, Roberto Fabinho stepped up to the mic, saying 'Man that was a tough fight. I didn�t take my opponent very seriously leading up to this fight but I�ll keep going. I know I�m the most dangerous in this division and will get that gold eventually'.
