Crenshaw comes to the cage accompanied by Deep Purple - Perfect Strangers. Hackett is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Foe Tha Love of Money. James Hackett has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Don Crenshaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, James Hackett!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crenshaw misses with a body shot.
Hackett steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Crenshaw.
Hackett fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Crenshaw manages to avoid it.
Crenshaw looks to score with a jab to the body but Hackett is just out of range.

Hackett gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Crenshaw doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Crenshaw landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Crenshaw just misses with a elbow thrown towards Hackett's brow.

and Crenshaw counters with a nice uppercut.

Crenshaw lands a nice shot that snaps Hackett's head back.
Hackett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Crenshaw moves out of range of the body kick.
Crenshaw connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Crenshaw fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hackett has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Crenshaw thows a left - swing and a miss!
Hackett wants to counter the offense by Crenshaw and move into the clinch position.
Hackett works over Crenshaw's head and body with a nice combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Crenshaw closes the distance and pushes Hackett back into the cage.
Hackett misses with a knee strike.

Hackett misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Crenshaw.
Hackett blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Hackett using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Crenshaw has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Hackett tries to land knees in the clinch but Crenshaw avoids the damage to the body.

Crenshaw stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Hackett tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Crenshaw pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hackett tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hackett comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Crenshaw throws a poor cross that misses
and Hackett counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Crenshaw with a nice calf kick.
Hackett misses with a head kick.
Hackett walks forward, straight into a front kick from Crenshaw.
Hackett throws a nice looking combination but Crenshaw bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Crenshaw gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Crenshaw goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Hackett wants to take the fight to the mat but Crenshaw manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Hackett tries to throw a body punch but Crenshaw avoids it by throwing Hackett back against the cage.
Hackett tries to work over Crenshaw's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hackett is trying to pull guard but Crenshaw turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Crenshaw pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Crenshaw looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Crenshaw sets himself, and Hackett steps forward looking for the clinch! Crenshaw avoids it this time.
Hackett slips a straight right by Crenshaw.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Crenshaw.
Hackett looks winded!
Crenshaw thumps Hackett with a low kick.
Crenshaw slips under a jab from Hackett.
Crenshaw misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hackett scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Crenshaw misses with a body shot.
Crenshaw blocks a jab.
Crenshaw throws a counter high kick but Hackett was just alert enough to avoid it.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Don Crenshaw dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hackett drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Hackett throws a leg kick that is checked
and Crenshaw makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Crenshaw throws a nice inside leg kick.
Hackett ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Crenshaw moves away.
Crenshaw jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Hackett takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Hackett is rocked!

It looks like James Hackett has been cut.
Crenshaw throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hackett is still on wobbly legs! Can Crenshaw finish him?
Crenshaw shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Hackett takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Crenshaw sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Hackett bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Don Crenshaw!
A relieved looking Don Crenshaw thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
