Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cactus Jack (ranked 4216 p4p, 4116 weight class) and Monty Burns (ranked 444 p4p, 440 weight class). Cactus Jack could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Monty Burns's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Cactus Jack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Monty Burns!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack dives in for a single leg takedown but Burns sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Jack breaks from the clinch.
Jack tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Burns was well out of range. Poor timing from Jack.
Cactus Jack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jack looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burns is fending him off so far but Jack persists. Nope, Burns circles away and we're back to standing.

Jack shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Burns manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Burns looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Jack loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Burns looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jack is one step ahead there.
Jack tries to free his leg and advance position but Burns is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burns trying to keep a closed guard but Jack is proving a slippery customer.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jack accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Burns tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Jack passes Burns's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Burns has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Jack moves nicely into side control.

Jack tries to score with some ground and pound. Burns controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Jack wants to lay and pray for a moment but Burns keeps working.
Burns is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Burns tries to get to full guard but Jack has control of the leg.

Jack is working for a kimura but Burns is defending it quite comfortably.
Jack drops an elbow to the side of Burns's head.
Jack lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Burns wants to control but Jack is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Burns wants to sweep but Jack has passed to side control!

Burns manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Jack is looking to improve his position.
Burns tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jack knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jack tries to roll over but Burns keeps him under control.
Burns prevents Jack from standing back up.
Jack slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Burns working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Jack seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Burns tries to free his leg and advance position but Jack is retaining full guard.
Jack wants to get back to his feet but Burns is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Burns controlling from the top position.
Jack wants to stand and escape but Burns is having none of it.
Burns sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jack's guard.
Burns is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Jack is looking for a sweep. Burns is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Jack moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jack lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Burns tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Jack avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jack stopping the sweep attempt from Burns.
Jack lands a couple of digs.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Cactus Jack dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Burns leaves Jack with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Cactus Jack is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jack connects with a looping right hand.
Burns dives in and grabs Jack's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jack pushes down on Burns's head and hops out.
Jack changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Burns tries to avoid it but Jack manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Burns to the ground. Burns escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Burns keeps the fight on the outside.
Jack closes the distance and clinches up with Burns, looking for a takedown. Jack pushes Burns against the cage but Burns circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jack backing away here, and Burns unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cactus Jack. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Burns keeps the fight on the outside.
Jack fails with the takedown.

Burns closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jack tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Burns wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Jack gets back to half guard.

Burns is working for a submission of some sort.

Burns is looking to take a break and control but Jack is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Burns tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jack knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Jack is trying to get back to full guard.
Jack has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Burns is working away from the top position though.
Burns looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Cactus Jack overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Burns is thwarting Jack's attempts to control the position.
Burns is pressing down on Jack's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jack is holding on for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jack moves into full guard.
Burns wants to pass the guard but Jack is keeping the position.
Jack looking for a sweep. Not yet Jack, not yet.
Jack keeping full guard, as Burns tries to pass.

Burns slips nicely into half guard.
Burns passes to full mount!
Jack tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Burns misses with some ground and pound and Jack recovers position to half guard.
Burns stalling away here and it's allowed Jack to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Jack keeping moving, preventing Burns from controlling successfully.
Jack is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Jack pulls Burns in close to prevent any damage.
Jack is trying to control the position but Burns postures up.
Burns pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jack is keeping the position for now.
Burns wants to stand but Jack is controlling his posture from full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jack keeping moving, preventing Burns from controlling successfully.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Monty Burns showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Burns shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jack pinned against the cage. Jack gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jack doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Burns counters with a single leg into guard. Jack didn't expect that.
Jack wants to get back to his feet but Burns passes into half guard.

Jack is refusing to be controlled, as Burns sits in half guard.
Jack is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Well, if Burns is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Jack avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Burns.
Jack is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Burns's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Burns's back!

Jack is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Burns taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Jack.
