Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bjj Catch Wrestler (ranked 2707 p4p, 2378 weight class) and Pedro Gomez (ranked 222 p4p, 201 weight class). Gomez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Hotel California (Spanish Mix) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pedro Gomez!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Sano and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Catch Wrestler looks to throw the jab but Gomez is out of range.

We've been informed that Gomez has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Catch Wrestler wants to free his trapped foot but Gomez is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Gomez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Catch Wrestler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gomez moves into full guard.
Gomez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Catch Wrestler is one step ahead there.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Catch Wrestler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gomez has momentary wrist control but Catch Wrestler slips an elbow through the middle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Bjj Catch Wrestler will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Catch Wrestler shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Gomez lands with an uppercut that bounces Catch Wrestler off the cage and back into range.
Catch Wrestler rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gomez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gomez thuds his right hand into Catch Wrestler's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Gomez uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Catch Wrestler has time to react.

Gomez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gomez throws a powerful right kick. Catch Wrestler tried to block low but the kick was high! Catch Wrestler was taken right off of his feet! Gomez jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!

A relieved looking Pedro Gomez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
