Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Percival Nerdspoof The 3rd (ranked 1335 p4p, 1203 weight class) and Caius Marius (ranked 171 p4p, 153 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nerdspoof The 3rd might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Loser. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Percival Nerdspoof The 3rd!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Caius Marius!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marius gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nerdspoof The 3rd to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Nerdspoof The 3rd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Marius swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nerdspoof The 3rd thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Marius can do anything to dispel that myth.
Nerdspoof The 3rd is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nerdspoof The 3rd trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nerdspoof The 3rd trying to control the position from guard on top but Marius is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nerdspoof The 3rd pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Marius is keeping the position for now.
Nerdspoof The 3rd drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nerdspoof The 3rd jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Marius seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A slow jab from Marius misses its intended target.
Marius's coach down at GWad's Playpen was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Marius's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Nerdspoof The 3rd tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marius swivels and escapes.
Marius looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Nerdspoof The 3rd goes for a double leg but Marius avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Marius continues to drive forward.
Marius gets through Nerdspoof The 3rd's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Nerdspoof The 3rd goes for a takedown in the clinch but Marius prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Percival Nerdspoof The 3rd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marius lands a left hand that snaps the head of Nerdspoof The 3rd backwards.
Nerdspoof The 3rd goes for a takedown attempt but Marius pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nerdspoof The 3rd doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Marius counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Marius connects with a looping right hand.
Nerdspoof The 3rd closes this distance looking for a takedown but Marius circles away.
Nerdspoof The 3rd shoots and misses
and Marius cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Percival Nerdspoof The 3rd has been cut.
Nerdspoof The 3rd with a poor takedown
and Marius counters with a stiff right hand.
Nerdspoof The 3rd with a lazy takedown attempt
and Marius counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Nerdspoof The 3rd is breathing heavily.
Marius lands a big right hand that sends Nerdspoof The 3rd crashing to the mat! Marius stays standing though and waves Nerdspoof The 3rd back to his feet!
Nerdspoof The 3rd is rocked!
Nerdspoof The 3rd is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Marius doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Nerdspoof The 3rd crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Nerdspoof The 3rd's bad books for that mishap!
