Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Parsley (ranked 3048 p4p, 5890 weight class) and Tuur Carlier (ranked 376 p4p, 501 weight class). Tuur Carlier told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brian Parsley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tuur Carlier! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlier loads up on a big right hand but Parsley slips the punch. Parsley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carlier manages to avoid it. Carlier misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Parsley.
Parsley keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Carlier. Parsley was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Parsley jabbing away but nothing is landing. Parsley throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Parsley connects with the punch. Parsley scores with a jab. Carlier acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Parsley lands a body shot.
Carlier misses with an uppercut. Parsley saw that one coming. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parsley misses with a hook. Parsley misses with a looping left. Parsley scores with a nice right hand.
Carlier blocks a jab. Carlier swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Parsley swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Carlier. Parsley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carlier looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Parsley scoring with punches and elbows. Parsley lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Parsley is looking to take a break and control but Carlier is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Parsley working away diligently from side control. Carlier is trying to control Parsley's posture but Parsley avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carlier might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Parsley haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Carlier closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Carlier uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Parsley.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlier wants to control but Parsley is keeping him busy. Carlier content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Carlier has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Parsley is squirming around, avoiding Carlier's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Parsley can't escape the position.
Carlier looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Carlier sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Parsley is wriggling around trying to escape.

Parsley stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Carlier uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Parsley.

Carlier is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Nice straight punches there by Carlier. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Carlier. Carlier uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Parsley.

This has been an exciting period of action! Parsley connects with a body shot that sends Carlier's belly button to the back. Carlier throws a lazy right hand but Parsley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Carlier waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Parsley. Parsley scores with a sloppy right hand. Carlier should have avoided that one. Parsley connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
And that's the end of the fight! Brian Parsley showed his dominance in that final round. Well Parsley has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
