Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zigor Azarola!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kursiwa is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Azarola cracks Kursiwa with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Kursiwa tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Azarola counters with a stiff right hand.
Kursiwa dives in for a single leg takedown but Azarola sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Azarola tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Kursiwa's elbow.
Azarola managing to block the knees to the body from Kursiwa.
I was talking to Kursiwa's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Kursiwa's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Azarola sizes up Kursiwa with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Kursiwa is rocked!
Azarola drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Kursiwa's head, knocking him out cold! Azarola is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Zigor Azarola!
A relieved looking Zigor Azarola thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
