Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Will Rock Jr (ranked 2055 p4p, 3480 weight class) and Cole Lake (ranked 274 p4p, 400 weight class). Lake has chosen Panic Attack as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Will Rock Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cole Lake! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rock Jr bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Rock Jr definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Rock Jr throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Lake counters with a nice double leg into side control. Rock Jr won't be happy with that. Rock Jr regains half guard. Lake is looking to take a break and control but Rock Jr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rock Jr avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Lake. Lake throwing shots but Rock Jr is blocking nicely. Lake thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rock Jr's head. Rock Jr gets back to full guard.

Lake must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Lake postures up in Rock Jr's guard and throws a big left but Rock Jr blocks it. Lake with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Lake won't allow Rock Jr to sweep him here. Rock Jr is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Lake dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Lake wants to control for a moment but Rock Jr uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Lake wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rock Jr keeps working. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Lake thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lake looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rock Jr with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Rock Jr looks like he's trying to stand up.

Lake seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Rock Jr has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. That's three minutes gone in the round. Lake is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rock Jr has just dragged him back down to the mat. Rock Jr working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Rock Jr wants to stand but Lake is controlling his arm. Lake is trying to stand back up. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Lake pushes Rock Jr away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rock Jr gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Lake is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Rock Jr tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rock Jr has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Lake wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Will Rock Jr dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Lake closes the distance and clinches. Rock Jr fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Lake stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Rock Jr landing knees to the body.

Lake shoots in for a takedown but Rock Jr shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Cole Lake is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A head kick misses from Rock Jr. A head kick misses from Rock Jr. Lake closes the distance and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lake pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rock Jr displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lake throws out the jab. Rock Jr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lake avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Horrible takedown attempt by Lake or perhaps it was just good defense by Rock Jr, which made it look bad.
That's one minute gone in the round. An inside leg kick lands from Rock Jr. Lake shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rock Jr pinned against the cage. Rock Jr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Will Rock Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cole Lake. Lake avoids a kick to the body.
Rock Jr misses the shot to the body. Rock Jr swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lake. Rock Jr cracks Lake with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Rock Jr is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lake can do to turn this around? Rock Jr with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Will Rock Jr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lake throws a chopping leg kick but Rock Jr manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Rock Jr connects with an inside leg kick. Lake gets in close and instigates a clinch. Rock Jr landing knees to the body.

This has been an exciting period of action! Lake tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rock Jr sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lake somewhat. Will Rock Jr is winning the standup battle so far. Rock Jr tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lake is able to avoid easily. Nice cross by Rock Jr. Lake shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rock Jr is trying to defend but Lake finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Rock Jr wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lake thows a huge punch but Rock Jr dodges it nicely.
Rock Jr is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lake pulls his head out easily. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lake lands a nice short elbow. Rock Jr gets full guard. Lake trying to control the position from guard on top but Rock Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rock Jr is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lake is aware though and is defending well. Lake engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Rock Jr utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lake throwing strikes from guard but Rock Jr blocks nicely. Lake is stalling in the full guard. Lake content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lake accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lake chips away with some ground and pound. Lake really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rock Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lake got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rock Jr has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lake has managed to get both his arms back between Rock Jr's legs - danger averted. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Will Rock Jr dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! Rock Jr scores with a sloppy right hand. Lake should have avoided that one. Lake just misses with a punch to the body.

Cole Lake has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Will Rock Jr is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rock Jr moves in looking to clinch but Lake pushes him off. Rock Jr lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Rock Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lake swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rock Jr lands a really nice looking cross but Lake seems unphased.
Cole Lake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rock Jr fails in his attempt to clinch. Rock Jr chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Rock Jr tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lake manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Lake misses with a double jab.
Lake rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rock Jr moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Rock Jr wants to clinch up but Lake keeps it at a distance. Rock Jr pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Lake tries to break free but Rock Jr pushes him back against the cage. Lake has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Lake takes a knee to the side of the body. Lake looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Lake trying to stall but Rock Jr improves his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lake tries to score a body lock takedown but Rock Jr shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Come on Lake - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
