Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brayden Point (ranked 280 p4p, 443 weight class) and Lemmy Bang (ranked 25 p4p, 36 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Point might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Roots Reggae Music. Bang is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: For Heavy Metal we will die!. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 37 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brayden Point!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lemmy Bang!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bang rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Point counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Bang throws a big shot that misses.
Brayden Point seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bang misses with a lunging right hand

and Point counters by moving into the clinch.

Bang jumps into guard, dragging Point to the mat.

Point got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bang has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Point has managed to get both his arms back between Bang's legs - danger averted.
Point is looking to advance position but Bang has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Bang has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Point is working away from the top position though.

Our spies down at at Heavy Metal inform us that Bang has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Point misses with a knee strike.
Point lands a good knee to the midsection. Bang won't want to take too many of those.

Point looking to sit in guard and control but Bang gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bang postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Point is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Bang, into his guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brayden Point will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Nice defenses there by Point.
Point misses with a hook.
Bang is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Point jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Bang circles away from the clinch attempt
letting Bang counter with a right hand.
Point uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Point takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Bang lands a jab.
A punch lands to the side of Point 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Point jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bang takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Bang avoids a punch combination nicely.
Point missing with a left hand there. Bang was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Point looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Bang connects with a single shot there.
Danga de danga de dang - Bang scores with a four punch combination!
Point is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Bang on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Nice shot lands for Point.

Bang is rocked!
Bang switches off momentarily and Point cracks him with a monster right hand! Bang topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Point dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Point!
