Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boryenka Stepanov (ranked 552 p4p, 1870 weight class) and Willy McCoy (ranked 70 p4p, 253 weight class). Stepanov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Russian Paradise. McCoy has chosen You Don't Mess Around With Jim as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stepanov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McCoy is fending him off so far but Stepanov persists. Nope, McCoy circles away and we're back to standing.

and McCoy counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Stepanov is looking for a triangle but McCoy pushes his legs off easily.
Stepanov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McCoy manages to get himself to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McCoy can do anything to dispel that myth.

McCoy takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Stepanov's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
