Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boryenka Stepanov (ranked 552 p4p, 1870 weight class) and Willy McCoy (ranked 70 p4p, 253 weight class). Stepanov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Russian Paradise. McCoy has chosen You Don't Mess Around With Jim as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 17 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boryenka Stepanov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Willy McCoy! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stepanov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McCoy is fending him off so far but Stepanov persists. Nope, McCoy circles away and we're back to standing. Stepanov misses with a takedown attempt and McCoy counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Stepanov is looking for a triangle but McCoy pushes his legs off easily.
Stepanov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McCoy manages to get himself to full guard.
Stepanov pushes down on McCoy's leg and manages to get into half guard. Stepanov looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Stepanov working McCoy over with strikes. Stepanov tries to pass to full mount but McCoy defends it. Stepanov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McCoy can do anything to dispel that myth. Stepanov not landing any meaningful shots this time. McCoy is doing well to control the position and prevent Stepanov from advancing to side control. Stepanov wants to pass the guard but McCoy is defending well. Stepanov missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stepanov frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Stepanov lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
McCoy takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. BOOM! Stepanov connects with a massive shot to the dome!
McCoy keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Stepanov unloading with bombs! Stepanov lands a big shot there that rocks McCoy but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
McCoy wants to control but Stepanov is having none of it. McCoy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Stepanov unloads with some shots from mount but McCoy bucks and avoids them well.
Stepanov lands a heavy elbow. Stepanov looking to finish McCoy with some ground and pound. This is bad for McCoy!
McCoy is rocked! McCoy takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Stepanov's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Boryenka Stepanov! An out of breath Boryenka Stepanov thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
