Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Donny Knightley (ranked 554 p4p, 720 weight class) and James Rocksteady (ranked 76 p4p, 100 weight class). Knightley's entrance music is Some Bodies Gonna Get It ft. Three-Six Mafia. A fine choice. Rocksteady has chosen Red Right Hand as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Donny Knightley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, James Rocksteady! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rocksteady smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Knightley thuds a left hand into Rocksteady's body. Knightley lands with a nice body punch. Knightley keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rocksteady. Rocksteady swings widly with a right hand
and Knightley counters with an inside leg kick. Rocksteady has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Knightley. Rocksteady misses with a hook. Knightley ducked under it nicely. Knightley has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rocksteady finds it's way round the side to connect with Knightley's head. Nice straight punches there by Knightley. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Knightley. A big right from Rocksteady misses. Knightley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Knightley moves away from the strike by Rocksteady. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rocksteady misses with an uppercut
and Knightley counters with an outside leg kick.
Rocksteady jabs Knightley right on the nose. Knightley blinks but takes it well. Nice straight punches there by Rocksteady. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rocksteady.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knightley defending well as Rocksteady loads up on a big left hand. Rocksteady digs a good body shot into Knightley's ribs. Rocksteady misses with an uppercut
letting Knightley counter with a right hand. Knightley keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Knightley dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Knightley slips under a jab. Rocksteady on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Knightley uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rocksteady. Rocksteady lands an overhand right. Rocksteady lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That kick from Knightley tenderised Rocksteady's leg. Rocksteady is trying to keep his angry face on. Rocksteady misses with a straight left.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Knightley defending well as Rocksteady loads up on a big left hand. Rocksteady checks a low kick from Knightley. Knightley misses with a looping right. Knightley takes a swing at Rocksteady's ribcage but misses. Knightley throws a hook to the side of Rocksteady's head but Rocksteady sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Rocksteady is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Knightley. Rocksteady swings for the body but Knightley moves out of range.
Knightley uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rocksteady. Knightley looks to throw the jab but Rocksteady is out of range. Rocksteady feints the counter takedown. Rocksteady rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Knightley counter with a right hand. A big left from Knightley misses. Rocksteady scores with a hook. Rocksteady getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rocksteady tries to clinch up. Knightley bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rocksteady's head. Rocksteady is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Knightley had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Knightley needs to keep his hands up - Rocksteady had a free shot at his head there. Rocksteady steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Knightley. Knightley fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Rocksteady throws a hook but Knightley avoids it easily. Rocksteady darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Rocksteady shoots and misses enabling Knightley to counter with a crisp jab. Knightley takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Knightley is rocked! Rocksteady drops Knightley with a big left hand! Knightley is injured, injured bad! Rocksteady jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Rocksteady! An out of breath James Rocksteady thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
