Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Dansworth (ranked 1276 p4p, 1387 weight class) and David Scott (ranked 195 p4p, 211 weight class). David Scott is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Greg Dansworth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, David Scott!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dansworth misses with a wild body shot.
A head kick misses from Dansworth.
Scott keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A little jabbing left from Scott on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Dansworth throws a hook but Scott blocks it.

Dansworth fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Scott sprawls well initially but Dansworth persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Scott keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Dansworth wants to control but Scott is keeping him busy.
Scott trying to control here.

Dansworth is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Scott has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Dansworth scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Dansworth has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dansworth trying to control from half guard but Scott is working away.

Scott tries to roll over but Dansworth keeps him under control.

Dansworth is working for a kimura but Scott is defending it quite comfortably.
Dansworth prevents Scott from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dansworth is thwarting Scott's attempts to control the position.

Scott looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Dansworth perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Scott has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dansworth is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dansworth throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Dansworth is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Scott sees it coming and defends easily.

Dansworth is working for a submission of some sort.

Dansworth is working for a kimura but Scott is defending it quite comfortably.
Scott wants to control but Dansworth is keeping busy.
Dansworth works his way into full mount!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dansworth cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Dansworth has control of Scott's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Scott regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Dansworth lands a heavy elbow.
Dansworth tries to control but Scott wriggling away.
Dansworth landing strikes from the mount.
Dansworth avoids the attempt from Scott to control.
Dansworth lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Scott tries to lock up and control but Dansworth gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dansworth can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Scott is looking to escape.

Scott wants to control but Dansworth is having none of it.
Dansworth working the ground and pound effectively.
Scott tries to hold on but Dansworth pushes him away.
Dansworth connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Scott can't escape the position.

Scott is bucking up trying to escape but Dansworth cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Scott is rocked!
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Dansworth content just to control the position here.

Dansworth is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Scott can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Scott is in a horrible position here. Dansworth smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Greg Dansworth dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Dansworth thows a left - swing and a miss!
Dansworth scores with a leg kick.

Scott fails with an attempt to clinch.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Dansworth, as that shot connected.
Dansworth circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dansworth tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Scott was well out of range. Poor timing from Dansworth.
Scott looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Scott tries to close the distance and clinch but Dansworth swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Greg Dansworth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dansworth thuds his right hand into Scott's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Dansworth throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Scott counters with a stiff right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Scott tries to clinch up.
Dansworth connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
A cross from Dansworth lands.
Scott is still on wobbly legs! Can Dansworth finish him?

Dansworth lands a huge takedown. Scott is out but the ref is slow to react and Dansworth lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Scott lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Greg Dansworth!
After winning the bout, Greg Dansworth thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
