Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexey Markov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Justin Mkenn!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markov sizes up Mkenn with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

It looks like Justin Mkenn has been cut.
Mkenn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Mkenn looks to clinch
and Markov counters with a right hand to the body.
Mkenn looks winded!
Markov lands with an uppercut that bounces Mkenn off the cage and back into range.

Markov cracks Mkenn with an uppercut from hell and Mkenn crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Markov's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Mkenn is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Markov looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Mkenn is still in real trouble! Can Markov finish him?
Markov continues to stall.
Markov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Markov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Mkenn seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Markov.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mkenn slips a jab from Markov.

Markov cracks Mkenn with a big right hand and Mkenn goes down!
Markov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Markov decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Mkenn leaves his chin hanging out and Markov seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Mkenn crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alexey Markov!
Alexey Markov decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
