Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ubaldo Cortez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Australian RooMan!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
RooMan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cortez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
It looked like Cortez was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from RooMan.
A shot to the body from Cortez misses
and RooMan counters with a three punch combo that has Cortez backing up. Cortez nods at RooMan to acknowledge the strikes.
A swing and a miss from RooMan.
RooMan with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cortez to score with a decent uppercut.
It looks like Australian RooMan has been cut.
Cortez throws a low kick but RooMan avoids it.

Cortez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Cortez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
RooMan misses the shot to the body.
Cortez scores with a push kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Cortez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Cortez throws a wild body kick that RooMan sees coming a mile off.
Cortez connects with a quick right hand that sends RooMan tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!
