Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Exotic (ranked 25 p4p, 108 weight class) and Juanito Escobar (ranked 4 p4p, 12 weight class). Exotic comes into the arena with Joe Exotic - I Saw a Tiger blaring out of the sound system. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 11 - 1, fighting out of New York, Joe Exotic!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juanito Escobar!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobar misses with a right hand
and Exotic counters with a good low kick that Escobar was not able to check.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Escobar has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Escobar throws a leg kick which misses Exotic's front leg but catches the back leg as Exotic tries to avoid it.
Escobar shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Exotic sprawls well. Exotic wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Escobar gets slowly back to his feet.

Escobar fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Exotic has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
