Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Braynas Hlervu (ranked 27 p4p, 120 weight class) and Davdio Branko (ranked 1 p4p, 6 weight class). Hlervu comes to the cage accompanied by Al Qawlu Qawlu Sawarim. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Braynas Hlervu!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Davdio Branko!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Branko tries for a takedown but Hlervu circles away easily
and Hlervu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Davdio Branko has been cut.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Branko.
Hlervu is looking to counter punch.
Hlervu has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Branko shoots and misses
and Hlervu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Braynas Hlervu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davdio Branko.
Branko is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
And Hlervu counters with a quick kick to the body but Branko blocks it.
Branko is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice sprawl there from Hlervu as Branko shoots in.
Horrible takedown attempt by Branko or perhaps it was just good defense by Hlervu, which made it look bad.
Hlervu swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Branko gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hlervu counters with a crisp right hand that drops Branko! Hlervu lets Branko back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Branko fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hlervu thinks about countering with a body kick.
Branko doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hlervu counters with a crisp right that sends Branko to the canvas! Hlervu follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Braynas Hlervu!
