Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hjallis Kalske (ranked 463 p4p, 619 weight class) and Shape Shifter (ranked 73 p4p, 95 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hjallis Kalske! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Shape Shifter! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. A decent looking cross lands there for Kalske. A cross from Kalske lands. Kalske misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kalske lands an overhand right. Shifter gets a takedown into half guard. Kalske wants to control but Shifter is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shifter prevents Kalske from improving his position. Shifter is looking for a kimura here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shifter is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Shifter is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Shifter tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kalske knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Kalske looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kalske gets full guard. Kalske not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kalske avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kalske is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Shifter flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Shifter manages to get to full guard.
Shifter keeping moving, preventing Kalske from controlling successfully. Kalske seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kalske chips away with some ground and pound. Shifter has an active guard here but Kalske has managed to pass into half guard.
Shifter trying to get back to full guard but Kalske takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shifter really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Shifter regains half guard. Kalske wants to take a breather but Shifter is having none of it. Shifter is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kalske pulls his head out easily. Shifter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Kalske wants to control but Shifter is keeping him busy. Shifter wants to improve his position but Kalske is controlling well.
Kalske blocks the strikes from Shifter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Shifter tries to roll over but Kalske keeps him under control. Shifter actively working from the bottom here. Shifter looking for submissions off his back. Kalske wants to pass the guard but Shifter is defending well. Kalske slows the pace down in half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shifter looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Shifter looking for submissions off his back. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Hjallis Kalske will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Shifter doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kalske counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Kalske just misses with a punch to the body.
Shifter changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Kalske leaves Shifter with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. No luck for Shifter with that takedown attempt. Hjallis Kalske has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shape Shifter.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kalske moves into the clinch. Kalske prevents a takedown attempt there.
Shifter goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kalske prevents it.
Kalske is defending well against a takedown attempt. Shifter blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Shifter is working for takedown but Kalske is calmly controlling the position for now. Shifter looking for a takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kalske throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Shifter goes for a takedown attempt but Kalske pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kalske misses with a wild body shot. Kalske connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Hjallis Kalske is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kalske tries to clinch up but Shifter circles away and keeps his distance. Kalske defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shifter. Shifter doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kalske counters with a lovely straight right hand! Kalske is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shifter can do to turn this around?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Kalske as Shifter shoots in. Kalske throwing a counter right hand but Shifter manages to avoid it. Kalske works Shifter's body with a nice hook. Kalske fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Kalske breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kalske drops Shifter with a beautiful combination! Shifter stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kalske is looking for the KO!
Shifter is rocked!
It looks like Shape Shifter has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Kalske drops Shifter with a naaaaasty hook - Shifter is in real trouble here! Kalske dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hjallis Kalske! Our winner, Hjallis Kalske, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
