Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Hanson (ranked 407 p4p, 471 weight class) and James Hunt (ranked 52 p4p, 62 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, David Hanson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, James Hunt! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunt throws a leg kick and Hanson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hunt! Hanson tries to score with some ground and pound. Hunt controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Hunt is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Hunt defending against the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hunt wants to get back to his feet but Hanson drags him back down. Hunt managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hanson.
Hunt pushes Hanson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hanson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Hanson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Hanson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hunt is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hanson has just dragged him back down to the mat. Hanson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hanson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Hanson in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanson with the ground and pound but Hunt regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Hanson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hanson with the ground and pound but Hunt uses the opportunity to regain guard. Hanson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hanson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hunt dives on top into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hanson tries to reverse the position but Hunt maintains control. Hanson sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Hanson actively working from the bottom here. Hanson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hanson wants to get back to full guard. Hanson connecting with a few gentle strikes. Hanson tries to get to full guard but Hunt has control of the leg. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hanson looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hunt moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Hanson. Hanson is looking to regain half guard here but Hunt keeps moving and retains side control. Hanson is trying to work for a sweep but Hunt has mounted him! Hanson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but James Hunt will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Hanson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hunt to the mat! Hunt manages to get full guard. Hunt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hanson throws a big elbow that misses. Hanson throws a strike but Hunt rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Hanson is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Hunt rolls with it to try and escape but Hanson cranks on the arm and Hunt is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
