Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dave McDonald (ranked 2246 p4p, 2528 weight class) and Miroslav Drozd (ranked 293 p4p, 328 weight class). McDonald's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Better Than Gold - Justin Hawkes. Dave McDonald has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave McDonald!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Miroslav Drozd!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drozd connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed McDonald momentarily.
McDonald shoots for a takedown but Drozd saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
McDonald's corner calls for a 1-2. McDonald obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Drozd lands a really nice looking cross but McDonald seems unphased.
Drozd pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A shot to the liver by McDonald. Beautiful body shot.
McDonald has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ludus Magnus in the buildup to the fight.
Drozd dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McDonald lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Drozd has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Drozd and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Drozd connects with a good right hand that stumbles McDonald. McDonald circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Drozd feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McDonald sprawling to the canvas! McDonald rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Drozd finish him?!
McDonald is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McDonald throws a combination that misses
and Drozd counters with a right hand from hell and McDonald is out cold! A vicious knockout!

Dave McDonald was interviewed post fight and said 'Well that sucks. I'm going to Burger King.'.
