Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Steel (ranked 2612 p4p, 2778 weight class) and Martin Drop (ranked 138 p4p, 146 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 31 - 35 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jerome Steel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Martin Drop! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Drop misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Steel works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Steel scores with a kick to the midsection. Drop takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Martin Drop has been cut. Drop needs to keep his hands up - Steel had a free shot at his head there. Drop throws a jab when Steel was well out of range. Steel swings for the body but Drop moves out of range.

Drop pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Steel missing with a left hand there. Drop was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A jab from Drop misses. Steel lands a lovely overhand right. Steel attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Drop ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steel moves away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Steel scores with a body shot.

Drop takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Drop makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Drop with a knee to the head.

Steel is trying to pull guard but Drop has him pressed against the cage. Drop gets through Steel's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Steel has been working on his balance at DF Fitnesscentrum, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Drop. Drop with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Drop has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Steel seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Drop can turn it around. Drop gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Steel tries to throw a body punch but Drop avoids it by throwing Steel back against the cage. Steel swings wildly with an uppercut but Drop uses good head movement to avoid it. Steel struggles to land a body shot inside as Drop controls his hands.

Steel fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Drop manages to avoid it. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. A lazy left from Drop finds it's target. Drop feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Steel sprawling to the canvas! Steel rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Drop finish him?!
Steel is rocked! Steel switches off momentarily and Drop cracks him with a monster right hand! Steel topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Drop dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Drop!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Martin Drop!
