Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rutger Petrov (ranked 2345 p4p, 4017 weight class) and Turd McPherson (ranked 279 p4p, 451 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Turd McPherson!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jonathan Paton and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McPherson is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Petrov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

McPherson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

McPherson has his foot on Petrov 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Petrov works his way back into a safe position though.

Rutger Petrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McPherson tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

McPherson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Petrov defends it well.

Petrov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force McPherson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so McPherson shrugs it off.
McPherson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Petrov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McPherson can do to turn this around?
