Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Won Yong Jung (ranked 697 p4p, 1069 weight class) and Heung Min Choi (ranked 64 p4p, 99 weight class). Choi comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Black Eyed Bruiser kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Won Yong Jung!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Heung Min Choi!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Choi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jung sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nice defenses there by Jung.
Choi throws a hook to the side of Jung's head but Jung sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
As Choi backs away, Jung returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Choi throws an off balance right hand
enabling Jung to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Heung Min Choi has been cut.
Choi leaves Jung with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A slow jab from Choi misses its intended target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jung. Choi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jung throws a body punch but Choi moves out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Choi throws a big shot that misses.
Jung rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Choi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

It looks like Won Yong Jung has been cut.
Heung Min Choi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jung displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Choi throws out the jab.

and Jung counters with a stiff right hand.

Donk. Jung catches Choi right on the button with a cross.
Choi misses with a wild body shot.
Choi throws an overhand right that lands on Jung's shoulder, as Jung tries to avoid the shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jung throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jung has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Jung closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jung feints and as Choi raises his hands in defense, Jung changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jung won't allow Choi to sweep him here.
Choi is pulling down on Jung's head to control his posture.
Jung throws a big elbow that misses.
Jung distracts Choi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jung trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jung accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Jung lands a couple of digs.
Jung has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jung's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Choi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jung cracks Choi with a solid left hand.

Choi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jung defends it easily.
Choi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Choi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jung defends well.
Jung working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Choi wants to stand up but Jung is controlling him.
Jung lands a couple of elbows.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Choi looking for a sweep. Not yet Choi, not yet.
Jung throwing strikes but missing.
Jung stands up over Choi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Jung chips away with some ground and pound.
Choi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jung is controlling him.
Choi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Jung makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Jung throwing strikes from guard but Choi blocks nicely.
Jung is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Won Yong Jung dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Choi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jung manages to avoid it.
It looked like Jung wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Choi counters with a crisp one two that drops Jung! Choi thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Jung to his feet! Jung is in big trouble!

and Choi counters with a huge left! Jung is in big trouble! He's backing up but Choi isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Jung from any more damage. A dominating finish by Choi!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Heung Min Choi!

A very excited looking Heung Min Choi made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
