Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derrick Lewis (ranked 518 p4p, 843 weight class) and Bryan Gracie (ranked 81 p4p, 130 weight class). Gracie has chosen Limp Bizkit - Rollin' as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Derrick Lewis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bryan Gracie! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lewis takes one on the button. Jab, jab by Lewis - just one landing. Gracie jabbing away but nothing is landing. Horrible takedown attempt by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Lewis, which made it look bad. A big left from Gracie misses. Gracie rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lewis counters with an outside leg kick.
Lewis fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gracie to the ground. Lewis is now in Gracie's guard. Gracie has his foot on Lewis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lewis works his way back into a safe position though. Lewis trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gracie throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Gracie is looking for a triangle but Lewis pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie working for a triangle but Lewis defends it easily.
Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lewis can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Lewis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lewis has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted. Gracie looking for a guillotine here but Lewis defends easily.
Gracie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lewis defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lewis trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lewis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Lewis tries to free his leg and advance position but Gracie is retaining full guard. Gracie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lewis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lewis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Gracie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lewis defends well. Gracie wants to sweep here but Lewis controlling him for the moment. Gracie throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Lewis slips nicely into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie wants to improve his position but Lewis is controlling well.
Lewis is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lewis is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Gracie has managed to free his arm - good work. Gracie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lewis's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lewis's back! Gracie looking for the choke from the back. Lewis tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Gracie can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lewis is looking to escape. Gracie is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lewis is surviving well by controlling Gracie's body position as best he can. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lewis is squirming around, avoiding Gracie's attempts to control the action. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Bryan Gracie will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Gracie throws a jab but it's blocked by Lewis. Lewis changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Lewis scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Gracie struggling a bit here. Lewis is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gracie has escaped the position, nice work there. Gracie stops Lewis from passing to mount. Gracie wants to control but Lewis postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lewis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gracie knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Gracie wants to control but Lewis postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis is trying to get an arm triangle but Gracie is defending well. Gracie is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Lewis off and has taken his back! My spies in Ludus Magnus inform me that Gracie has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Gracie is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Lewis knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Lewis for a finish. Lewis defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Gracie's arms. Gracie is persistently looking for the submission but Lewis is defending it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie is hanging on to Lewis's back as he tries to escape.
Lewis has hold of Gracie's leg, trying to break free but it's let Gracie lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Lewis is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Gracie throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Bryan Gracie! After the fight, Bryan Gracie was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
