Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Paulo Maldini!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rauta throws a looping overhand right but Maldini ducks down to avoid it.
Maldini changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Rauta cracks Maldini with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Maldini looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Rauta finish him?
It looks like Paulo Maldini has been cut.
Rauta throws a hook but Maldini blocks it.
Maldini with the counter takedown but Rauta avoids it easily.
Rauta throws a hook to the side of Maldini's head but Maldini sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Maldini drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Rauta defends it well.
Nyrkki Rauta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maldini bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Maldini tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Rauta misses with an uppercut. Maldini saw that one coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rauta jabs Maldini right on the nose. Maldini blinks but takes it well.
Rauta lands a big right hand that sends Maldini crashing to the mat! Rauta stays standing though and waves Maldini back to his feet!
Maldini is rocked!
Rauta knocks out Maldini with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Rauta before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Rauta picks up the big W with a huge KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nyrkki Rauta!
