Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noriyuki Nayoui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nayoui might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to nWo Theme. The crowd seem to be enjoying Gonzalez's choice of entrance music: Why Cant we Be Friends!. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noriyuki Nayoui! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jesus Gonzalez! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good exchange - Gonzalez coming out on top. A clash of legs there as Nayoui blocks the low kick. Nayoui throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nayoui closes the distance and lands a one-two. Gonzalez misses with an uppercut. Nayoui avoids the head kick by Gonzalez.

Nayoui looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Gonzalez throws a body kick that misses. Gonzalez looks to land a body kick but Nayoui moved away. Nayoui throws a hook but Gonzalez blocks it. Nayoui avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nayoui jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nayoui takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nayoui throws a right and a left that both miss. Nayoui ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gonzalez moves away. Nayoui uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gonzalez has time to react. Nayoui moves out of range of the body kick from Gonzalez.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzalez misses with a combination
and Gonzalez takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Nayoui scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Nayoui uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gonzalez. Jesus Gonzalez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gonzalez misses with a straight right. Nayoui takes a swing at Gonzalez's ribcage but misses. Gonzalez swings and misses with a shot to the body and Nayoui counters with a nice body shot. Gonzalez looks gassed! Nice defenses there by Gonzalez. A jab-cross combination lands for Nayoui and sends Gonzalez crashing to the mat! Nayoui follows him down to the mat - Gonzalez regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Gonzalez is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Nayoui decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Gonzalez is still on wobbly legs! Can Nayoui finish him?
That's two minutes gone in the round. A punch combination from Nayoui misses. Gonzalez seems to have recovered his senses. Nayoui connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Nayoui lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Gonzalez falls backwards - clearly groggy! Nayoui dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Noriyuki Nayoui! Noriyuki Nayoui retains his light heavyweight title!
