Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin McDade (ranked 426 p4p, 612 weight class) and Dick Niaz (ranked 66 p4p, 93 weight class). Kevin McDade could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dick Niaz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kevin McDade! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dick Niaz! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDade throws a right hand that misses
so Niaz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. McDade keeping moving, preventing Niaz from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Niaz showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Niaz wants to control from the top but McDade keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Niaz wants to pass the guard but McDade is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. McDade controls Niaz momentarily but Niaz frees himself. Niaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McDade swivels though and keeps the full guard. McDade pulls Niaz in close to prevent any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. We've been told by McDade's head coaches at Hammer House of Horror that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Niaz blocks a jab. McDade pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Niaz changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. McDade throws a sloppy head kick and Niaz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Niaz. Niaz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McDade can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Niaz controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Niaz passes easily into side control. Nice work. McDade tries to get back to half guard but can't. Niaz tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Niaz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but McDade is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Niaz is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. McDade looks calm but he's in trouble here. Niaz gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. McDade is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Niaz lets go of the hold and McDade can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dick Niaz! Dick Niaz is the new lightweight champion! Dick Niaz decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
