Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darian Cruz (ranked 1697 p4p, 1648 weight class) and Karl Hermann (ranked 226 p4p, 151 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darian Cruz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Karl Hermann!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hermann stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hermann wants it to stay on the feet.
Cruz misses with a takedown attempt - Hermann sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cruz shoots in for a double leg but Hermann sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darian Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hermann throws a big counter head kick but Cruz avoids it with no problem.
Hermann has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Cruz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hermann's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hermann tries to stand and escape but Cruz is controlling the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Cruz is trying to control. Hermann wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Cruz maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Hermann could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Cruz has cracked it and Hermann is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Cruz!
