Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Charles Mesquita (ranked 326 p4p, 171 weight class) and John Fisher (ranked 27 p4p, 16 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!

The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ron Honeybunn and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mesquita goes for a double leg but Fisher avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fisher continues to drive forward.
Fisher lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Fisher feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Mesquita sprawling to the canvas! Mesquita rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Fisher finish him?!
Oh Mesquita is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mesquita closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fisher sneaks out the side door and pushes Mesquita away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
