Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between One Fortythree (ranked 987 p4p, 1174 weight class) and Darian Cruz (ranked 137 p4p, 154 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darian Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Topper Green and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cruz with a poor takedown
and Fortythree counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cruz goes for a double leg but Fortythree avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Fortythree continues to drive forward.
Cruz darts in looking for a takedown but Fortythree gets double underhooks and turns Cruz into the cage.
One Fortythree has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darian Cruz.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Cruz.
Fortythree tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Cruz manages to circle out of the way.
Fortythree stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fortythree wants it to stay on the feet.
It looked like Fortythree was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Cruz.
Fortythree connects with a right hand. Cruz shakes it off.
Fortythree throws a body punch but Cruz moves out of range.
Fortythree misses with a hook.
A little jabbing left from Cruz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Fortythree has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Canucks Combat Club in the buildup to the fight.
Cruz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Cruz takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cruz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Fortythree is trying to defend but Cruz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cruz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fortythree keeps working.

Cruz is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Fortythree is trying to control but can't.
