Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ralphie Maldonado (ranked 2739 p4p, 1789 weight class) and Lawson Chandler (ranked 410 p4p, 280 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 19 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ralphie Maldonado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lawson Chandler!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Bruno Hogan and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Chandler.
Maldonado looks to land a left hand but Chandler moved out of range nicely.
Maldonado looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Maldonado does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Maldonado pivots, looking for a leg kick but Chandler is out of range and Maldonado settles back down.
Maldonado misses with a straight right.
Maldonado throws an overhand right that lands on Chandler's shoulder, as Chandler tries to avoid the shot.
Chandler looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Chandler throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Maldonado stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Chandler lands a big head kick that sends Maldonado tumbling to the mat! Chandler takes a step backwards and waves Maldonado back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Maldonado is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Chandler throws a body shot but no joy.
Oh Maldonado is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That kick from Maldonado tenderised Chandler's leg. Chandler is trying to keep his angry face on.
Chandler slips a straight right by Maldonado.
Maldonado seems to have got his legs back now.
Chandler throws a body kick that misses
and Maldonado counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Maldonado checks the leg kick nicely there.
Ralphie Maldonado seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maldonado lands a slapping body shot.
Maldonado looks to throw the jab but Chandler is out of range.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Chandler has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A looping hook to the body misses from Maldonado. Chandler does a little dance to reset his feet.
Maldonado scores with a punch to the head.
Chandler checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Chandler misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Maldonado.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Maldonado scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Maldonado looks to land a left hand but Chandler moved out of range nicely.
Chandler connects with a crisp jab.
Chandler lands a big right hand that sends Maldonado crashing to the mat! Chandler stays standing though and waves Maldonado back to his feet!
Maldonado looks to throw the jab but Chandler is out of range.
Ralphie Maldonado is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Maldonado throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
It seemed like Chandler was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Chandler looks to land a left hand but Maldonado moved out of range nicely.
Chandler steps in with a hook that catches Maldonado right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Chandler follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Maldonado looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lawson Chandler!
During a confident post fight interview, Lawson Chandler thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
