Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Takeda Shida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hao Qiang!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Summer Carpenter and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shida bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Shida takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Good standup being displayed there by Qiang as he connects with a hook.
Qiang lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Qiang uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shida.
Shida cracks Qiang with a right hand to the side of the head.
It looks like Hao Qiang has been cut.
Shida looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A swing and a miss from Shida.
Shida misses with a wild body shot.
Shida fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Qiang misses with a straight left.
Qiang throws a leg kick
and Shida counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Qiang thinking.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Qiang throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shida sees it coming and avoids it easily.

letting Shida counter with a right hand.
Shida uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Qiang.
Shida on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A jab from Shida misses.
A swing and a miss from Qiang.
Qiang ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shida moves away.
Qiang avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Qiang moves into the clinch.
Qiang throws a punch but it's blocked by Shida.
Shida is trying to break free.
Shida is trying to push Qiang away but Qiang has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Qiang.
Shida lands a nice uppercut.
Qiang doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Qiang has Shida pressed against the cage, preventing Shida from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Shida's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Qiang throws a jab but it's blocked by Shida.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Qiang throws a looping overhand right but Shida ducks down to avoid it.
Shida throws a lazy right hand but Qiang sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hao Qiang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Qiang throws a hook but Shida avoids it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A telegraphed right hand from Shida misses the target.
Qiang throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Shida counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That has opened up Hao Qiang's cut even more.
Qiang is looking to land body kicks.
Shida takes a jab right on the kisser.
Qiang swings for the body but Shida moves out of range.
Shida swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Shida jabs at Qiang's body.
Qiang lands with a hook. Shida tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Qiang takes a swing at Shida's ribcage but misses.
Shida stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Qiang.
Qiang throws a head kick but Shida moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Qiang lands a jab to Shida's midsection.
Shida scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Qiang doesn't seem bothered though.
Qiang connects with the punch.
Shida tests Qiang's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The cut above Hao Qiang's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Qiang looks to throw the jab but Shida is out of range.
Shida was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Qiang misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Qiang misses with a looping left.
Qiang throws a poor cross that misses
and Shida counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Shida lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Hao Qiang's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hao Qiang's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Takeda Shida!
A very excited looking Takeda Shida made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
