Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bo Garrett (ranked 335 p4p, 475 weight class) and Bryan Gracie (ranked 52 p4p, 78 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gracie's choice of entrance music: Limp Bizkit - Rollin'. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bryan Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie closes this distance looking for a takedown but Garrett circles away.
Gracie takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Garrett fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gracie looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Gracie tries to clinch there but Garrett circles away.
Garrett slips under a jab from Gracie.
Garrett is looking to counter the offense by Gracie and move into the clinch.
Garrett instigates a clinch.
Garrett misses with a punch on the inside.
Garrett lands a nice uppercut.
Gracie throws an elbow that misses.
Garrett takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Bo Garrett has been cut.
Garrett dodges an elbow strike from Gracie.
Garrett keeps control of Gracie as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Gracie has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gracie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Garrett might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Garrett is aware though and is defending well.
Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Garrett doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Garrett manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gracie controls Garrett momentarily but Garrett frees himself.
Garrett is sitting in close to Gracie's body. Gracie has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Garrett is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Garrett is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Gracie.

Bryan Gracie decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
