Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chew Kok (ranked 449 p4p, 476 weight class) and Roman Ship (ranked 21 p4p, 27 weight class). Roman Ship told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chew Kok! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 22 - 27 - 1, fighting out of London, Roman Ship! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ship throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kok counters with a nice body kick.
Kok paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
It looks like Roman Ship has been cut. Kok has managed to clinch.
Kok tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ship's elbow. Kok tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Kok throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Kok blocking some punches.
Kok pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. We've been told by Kok's head coaches at Hey Steves Fight Shack that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Ship smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Kok staying out of range there. Kok swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Ship has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Kok. Ship wants to clinch up but Kok keeps it at a distance. Ship misses with a wild body shot. Kok throws a quick counter kick to the body but Ship avoids it. Roman Ship seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ship dives in and grabs Kok's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kok pushes down on Ship's head and hops out. Kok thows a left - swing and a miss! Kok throws out a loose jab but Ship uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Ship. Ship misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kok.
Ship scores with a nice head shot. Ship shoots in but Kok avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ship thows a left - swing and a miss! Ship throws a shot to the body.
Ship ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kok moves away. Ship misses with a hook. Kok pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Ship takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ship shoots in but no luck this time. Chew Kok has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roman Ship. Ship scores with a punch to the head. Ship misses with a left hand and Kok counters with a nice uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Kok misses the target. Ship feints the counter takedown. Ship loads up on a big right hand but Kok slips the punch. Kok throwing a counter right hand but Ship manages to avoid it. The fight moves into the clinch position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kok scores with a shoulder strike.
That has opened up Roman Ship's cut even more. A right hook to the body lands for Kok.
Ship blocks a body shot from Kok. Ship blocks a body shot from Kok. Kok lands with a short head shot on the inside. Ship doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kok tries to work over Ship's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Ship tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Kok blocking some punches.
Ship prevents a body shot from Kok. Ship will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kok up against the cage. Kok scores with a shoulder strike. Ship works on Kok's body with a couple of short punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ship misses with the head strike.
Ship stalling.
Ship tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kok just stands there and leans against the cage. Ship is trying to pull guard but Kok turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Kok tries to work over Ship's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Kok misses with a hook to the ribs.
Ship lands a body punch in the clinch. Ship is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Ship fails to pull guard.
Kok lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Ship backwards.
The cut above Roman Ship's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Kok tries a body shot but Ship blocks it.
Ship throws a punch but it's blocked by Kok. Kok tries to work over Ship's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Ship wants to stall.
Ship is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kok to keep the fight standing. Ship tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kok smiles and moves away.
Kok jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ship fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Ship misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kok.
Kok misses the jab. Kok looks to land a right hand but Ship moved out of range. Ship scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. A swing and a miss from Ship. A little feinted left hand from Kok on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Kok throws the kick towards the body but Ship avoids it. Ship just misses with a punch to the body.
Crunch! Kok slams his shin into Ship's torso. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kok moves forwards but Ship connects with a nice, crisp jab. Kok drops Ship with a big left hand! Ship is injured, injured bad! Kok jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chew Kok! During a confident post fight interview, Chew Kok thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
