Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lou Valentine (ranked 1230 p4p, 2106 weight class) and Bobby Brawler (ranked 161 p4p, 287 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lou Valentine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bobby Brawler!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentine tries a head kick but it misses.
Valentine misses with a looping right.
Valentine with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Valentine misses with a takedown attempt - Brawler sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Valentine throws a right hand that misses
letting Brawler counter with a right hand.

Valentine fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brawler sprawls well initially but Valentine persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Brawler is trying to stand up here but Valentine is controlling him well.

Valentine is looking to take a break and control but Brawler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Valentine is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Brawler doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Valentine.

Valentine is working for a submission of some sort.
Brawler pushes Valentine off looking to stand but Valentine dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

Valentine looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Valentine trying to mount his opponent but Brawler defends it.
Valentine is trying to control the action in half guard but Brawler is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Valentine is looking for a kimura but Brawler is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Valentine to get the leverage.
Brawler pushes Valentine off looking to stand but Valentine dives back in and keeps control.

Brawler manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Valentine lands a nice hook to Brawler's body. Brawler takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Valentine closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Brawler quickly recovers to half guard.
Valentine prevents Brawler from standing back up.
Valentine has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Brawler is trying to escape the mount.
Valentine avoids the attempt from Brawler to control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Brawler wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Brawler is squirming around, avoiding Valentine's attempts to control the action.

Valentine has control of Brawler's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Brawler regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Brawler wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Valentine.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Valentine looking to control but Brawler is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Valentine landing punches.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Lou Valentine dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Valentine swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brawler is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Brawler has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Valentine is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brawler can do to turn this around?
Valentine tries to clinch but Brawler moves out of range.
A little jabbing left from Brawler on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Valentine cracks a nice hook into Brawler's ribs.
Valentine lands with a nice body punch.
Brawler looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Valentine tries to clinch
enabling Brawler to counter with a crisp jab.
Valentine shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brawler but Brawler pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Valentine lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Valentine throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Valentine thumps Brawler with a low kick.
Valentine lands with an overhand left.
Lou Valentine seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Valentine darts in trying to clinch
and Brawler counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brawler shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Valentine misses with a shot to the body
and Brawler counters with a nice uppercut.
Valentine with a hook.

Brawler is rocked!
Valentine tries to clinch but Brawler moves out of range.
Brawler looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Valentine drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brawler is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Valentine is controlling him well.
Lou Valentine overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Valentine is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brawler has escaped the position, nice work there.
Brawler wants to get back to his feet but Valentine drags him back down.
Brawler struggling a bit here.

Valentine is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brawler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Brawler is not content to let Valentine control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Valentine working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Brawler is pushing Valentine's head away, looking to escape. Valentine manages to hold on to the position though.
Valentine looks up at the clock and then as Brawler takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Valentine smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Brawler is trying to get back to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Lou Valentine dominated that second round.
That's time! Valentine's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Brawler on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Valentine scores with a nice body kick.
Lou Valentine is winning the standup battle so far.

Valentine lands a big head kick that sends Brawler tumbling to the mat! Valentine takes a step backwards and waves Brawler back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Brawler is still on wobbly legs! Can Valentine finish him?

It looks like Bobby Brawler has been cut.
Valentine blocks a head kick by Brawler.
Valentine is looking to counter punch.
Valentine lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Brawler head around and knocks him out cold! Valentine hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lou Valentine!
Our winner, Lou Valentine, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
