Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kilo Maluga (ranked 2 p4p, 38 weight class) and Adan Puno (ranked 2 p4p, 6 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Maluga might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to JUNGLE. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adan Puno!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
A chopping leg kick lands by Maluga.
Maluga looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Maluga backing away here, and Puno unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Maluga misses with a wild body shot.
Puno misses with a left hand
and Maluga counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Adan Puno has been cut.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Puno throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Maluga blocks a jab.
A slow jab from Puno misses its intended target.
Puno tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Maluga uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Puno.
And Maluga counters with a quick kick to the body but Puno blocks it.

and Maluga counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Maluga misses with a left hand
and Puno counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Maluga throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Maluga is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

and Puno counters with a nice uppercut.
Kilo Maluga's cut is getting worse.
Puno throws a jab but it's blocked by Maluga.

The fighters circling - Puno throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Maluga counters with a nice uppercut.
Maluga misses with a kick to the body
and Puno counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Puno pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Puno throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Maluga counters with a good, hard body kick but Puno shrugs it off.
Maluga tries a low kick but Puno avoids it.

Puno misses the jab.
Maluga tried to counter with a leg kick but Puno avoided it.
Maluga thows a leg kick but Puno checks it
and Puno counters with a right hand to the body.
Puno connects with a solid leg kick.
Puno misses with a hook. Maluga ducked under it nicely.
Maluga feinted there with a counter leg kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Puno throws a sloppy body shot
and Maluga connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Adan Puno will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

That has opened up Adan Puno's cut even more.
A shot to the body from Puno misses
and Maluga counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Puno has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kilo Maluga!

After winning the bout, Kilo Maluga thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
