Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Steve (ranked 556 p4p, 1029 weight class) and Master Leader (ranked 73 p4p, 138 weight class). Leader has chosen Champions - Kanye West (ft Travis Scott, Quavo, etc…) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stephen Steve! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Master Leader! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leader looks to land a right hand but Steve moved out of range. Leader misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Steve.
Steve slips a jab from Leader. Steve tries to score with a low kick but Leader moves his leg out of the way. Leader throws a leg kick but Steve sees it coming and checks it nicely. Steve explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Steve throws a chopping leg kick but Leader manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Leader throws an off balance right hand
and Leader takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Steve thows a left - swing and a miss! A big left from Leader misses. Steve scores with a nice strike. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leader scores with a push kick. Steve is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Leader. Steve dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Leader throws a lazy right hand but Steve sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Leader connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leader throws an overhand right that lands on Steve's shoulder, as Steve tries to avoid the shot. Steve moves out of range of the body kick from Leader.

and Steve counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Steve. Leader gets through Steve's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Leader misses with a hook to the ribs.
Steve unloads a knee to the mid-section. A nice right hand lands inside from Leader. Leader throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Leader blocking some punches.
Steve connects with a nasty looking knee right to Leader's face.

Leader breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Leader tries to land a front kick but Steve steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Steve swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Steve goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Leader throws a looping overhand right but Steve ducks down to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leader lands a right hook to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Leader looks to throw the jab but Steve is out of range. A little feinted left hand from Steve on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Steve displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Leader throws out the jab. Leader blocks the body kick.
It seemed like Leader was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Steve throws a push kick but Leader slaps the foot to one side. Leader misses with a low kick as Steve jumps back. Leader misses with a low kick. Steve throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Steve throws a good cross that connects.
Steve slips a straight right by Leader. Leader throws a right and a left that both miss. Leader takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Steve misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Steve tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Leader was well out of range. Poor timing from Steve. Leader misses with a looping left.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steve throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Leader lunges at Steve with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Steve's hand. Steve throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Steve throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Steve throws a quick inside leg kick. Steve throws a shot from downtown. Leader moves away and avoids it. Steve moves out of range as Leader strikes. Steve misses with an uppercut
and Leader cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Leader misses with a looping left. Leader throws a nice outside leg kick. Leader fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Steve checks it well. Leader throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leader lands with a straight right. Steve didn't see that one coming. Leader jabbing away but nothing is landing. Leader wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Steve uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Leader. Leader takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Leader on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Steve moves into the clinch. Leader softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Leader fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Leader scores with a shot to the side of Steve's head. Steve with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Leader lands a right hand that snaps the head of Steve backwards. A quick uppercut on the inside from Leader. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Master Leader will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. A telegraphed right hand from Steve misses the target. Leader tries a quick counter leg kick but Steve is wise to it. Steve blocks a jab. Steve throws a shot from downtown. Leader moves away and avoids it. Leader misses with an uppercut. Steve saw that one coming. Steve on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Steve moves out of range as Leader strikes. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Leader crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Steve - the referee stops the clock and Leader gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Steve. Leader manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Steve lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Steve walks into a jab. Steve misses with a low kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leader fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Steve attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Leader walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Steve checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Steve is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Leader. Steve moves away from the strike by Leader.

Steve slips a straight right by Leader. Leader looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Steve thuds his right hand into Leader's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Leader takes a swing at Steve's ribcage but misses. Steve throws the kick towards the body but Leader avoids it. Steve on the wrong end of a nice hook. Steve uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Leader. Steve pushes Leader away with a front kick. A jab from Steve misses. It seemed like Leader was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Stephen Steve. Well Leader has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
